Do you ever happen to buy a large bag of greens with the best intentions to make a nutritious meal every morning, but a few days later you all you find is withered, slimy spinach?
The best solution for this is freezing! Freezing vegetables preserves nutrients, and extend the life of the product. Also, it’s cheaper to buy a greater amount of greens, then to buy at retail every day.
Freeze it in small plastic bags for freezing vegetables and arrange them anyway you like. You can insert whole fruit, or just the parts that you use. Wash the vegetables before freezing. A great idea is to chop the vegetables in a blender and pour it into the ice bucket or a small plastic container with a lid.
